Last night I was at @the_corner_shop_tcsp for an intimate event where we gathered with a few friends to enjoy a night of having fun with sustainable fashion.

We brought a few of our existing clothing pieces from our wardrobe and @joannegambale helped us style an outfit with sustainable pieces to wear. We also were educated a little more on sustainability and the fashion industry. How we can help the planet with our choices we make on what we buy and what we can keep preserving with our past fashion purchases and keep wearing them in style over and over again.

I haven’t really focused on buying sustainable clothing over the last few years. To be honest I think it has not been something that would pop into my head before I go shopping. But now I will be more conscious of this and find more creative and sustainable ways in shopping for clothing.

During my uni days this was part of my weekly routine and I absolutely loved it. I have been more conscious over the last few years of investing in one off pieces that will last a lifetime as opposed to buying clothes in larger quantities and throwing out. I do believe in buying once and buying well and not constantly throwing things out all the time.

Thank you @joannegambale and @the_corner_shop_tcsp this was such a fab night. I feel more people really do need to be educated on fashion from a sustainability perspective and also be able to utilise and style their past fashion purchases no matter how old they might me.
