SUSTAINABLE LUXURY

A decade of curating beautiful, intentional spaces with designers, architects, and the design-savvy.

thedesignpalette.co

— a thoughtfully designed space where architects, interior designers, and homeowners could discover materials that reflected timeless aesthetics and intentional living. Every piece was hand-selected for style, sustainability, and quality.

What started as a creative side venture while I was freelancing and raising three young kids became something I hadn't anticipated: a full business I built from the ground up, where I stepped into the role of creative director.

My design journey had already spanned two decades by then — beginning in graphic design, where I built brand identities and websites across fashion, interiors, hospitality, FMCG, and wellness. That foundation had naturally expanded into interiors, styling, colour, and residential building, which gave me something most designers don't have: the ability to see the full vision of a space from concept to completion, and to bring it to life across every touchpoint.

The Design Palette became the place where all of that converged.

In 2014, I launched The Design Palette with a boutique showroom in Sydney's eastern suburbs

In 2018, I made a decision that surprised a lot of people in the industry — I closed the physical showroom and took the business entirely online. While others questioned it, I trusted my instinct: experiencing beautiful design shouldn't require walking into a store. Clients could access premium materials, order samples from home, and feel the brand just as deeply through a screen. When the world shifted online in 2020 and businesses scrambled to adapt, The Design Palette was already there.

I didn't just want to sell tiles — I wanted to build a brand that reflected freedom, design, sustainability, and modern luxe living.

That transition freed me in ways I hadn't fully anticipated. Without the constraints of a physical space, I could take on design projects, build brands for other businesses, and explore creative collaborations and invest in another online business — all while The Design Palette ran as a fully digital brand. The flexibility to work across multiple creative mediums, from curating natural stone mosaics to designing complete brand identities, is what shaped my understanding of what aligned business actually feels like.

The 2021 rebrand to thedesignpalette.co marked the next evolution — a sharper focus on natural stone mosaics, sustainability, and curated living, with materials as intentional as the lifestyle they support and all supplied online.

Today, The Design Palette works with architects, interior designers, boutique builders, and design-savvy homeowners who care deeply about design, sustainability, and the way their spaces feel to live in. And for me, this decade taught me something I now bring to every woman I work with: building an aligned business and creating a beautiful space follow exactly the same principles — intentionality, authenticity, and deep attention to how things actually feel.

The Design Palette is moving into its next chapter — project-based, collaborative, and as intentional as everything that came before it.
